Going out with a certain young lady tonight so earlier this week I felt a ceremonial weighing was in order…
Zoinks, a whopping 13st 8lb!!!
Couple of months back I was around 13st 0lb. Problem was, since then I kind of let myself go, and at the same time gave over the daily weighings.
Well, that just won’t do, so I need to lose the extra poundage and lose it fast.
My aim is to weigh around 11st 1lb by the end of this year. For my height 5′9, this would give me a body mass index of 22.5, or smack bang in the middle of the chart where I should be.
How am I going to achieve it? By following my own hastily conceived three step plan to weight loss…
How To Lose Weight Subconsciously By Doing Absolutely Nothing
- I have to weigh myself every day without fail. The daily weight must be plotted on a graph, and that graph must be placed somewhere I can see easily it. The graph must also display my target weight, and a clear and embarassing indicator as to how much I am lagging behing the target.
How To Lose Weight By Changing My Diet
- No more jelly belly, no more supermarket bagged sweets, no more pick and mix at the cinema, no more crates of coke, no more bottles of coke in the car, no more bottles of coke at bowling, no more 6 cans of coke at work every day, no more chips every day, no more double cheeseburgers and a pint every friday, no more packs of crisps, no more burger king ‘once a month’.
How To Lose Weight By Doing More Exercise
- More exercise, that’s a laugh, I must start doing some exercise!
- Weather permitting, I must go for a walk every day. Getting the map out I see there’s a route near work that’s 1.5 miles long, should take approximately 1/2 hour. After work I should look to find another short route near home, maybe another mile or so would be good.
- Ten pin bowling - I cannot keep kidding myself this is exercise! Walking four steps and throwing a rock does not test my physical agility.
- Must join a 5 a side football team. Playing this friday with some guys from work for the first time in over 10 years. Let’s see how long I last, figure about 10 minutes. Mustn’t get disheartened that I can’t run, there’s no absolute reason why I can’t be as fit as the others.
