Ten Pin Bowling Champions
Bit of good news this week, we won the Tuesday Night Doubles bowling league.
By we, I mean Carol and Nick Hewitt plus myself, and of course it was the handicap competition and not the scratch. Not that I’m going to let that bother me, it’s my first season playing in the Tuesday league at AMF Burnley, so to win anything is a big achievment.
During the season my handicap has dropped from 60 to 47, and lately I’d have no problems playing off 35 to 40. Which of course means that beginning next season it’ll be a lot harder to pick up handicap points, but the scratch competition won’t be so far out of reach.
With a bit of luck there might be some prize money, and I should now be able to afford a new ball and some better bowling shoes.
