X Files DVD Marathon
Just settling down now for another X Files Marathon tonight.
I’m part way through season 4 of my X Files box set, Mulder’s just been caught by the Russians, and yep I’m still completely hooked!
By my rough calculations I’ve another 120 episodes still to watch, which works out at about 90 hours. Better get those matchsticks ready.
It’s funny really, because although I considered myself a fan when it came out, the sheer amount of episodes means there were always times when I missed the odd episode, or month, or season. Only now can I fill in the gaps, and experience it as a complete story rather than a collection of “Monster of the Week” episodes.
Watching the whole series in the space of a month or two gives you a much clearer idea of how the characters develop, and allows the whole government cover-up conspiracy plot to unravel at a far faster and better pace.
It’s also good being able to go “Woot! Gillian Anderson!” three times a night!
